Agapanthus in Roppongi park

I finally learned the name of this flower.

Agapanthus, a perennial herb of the leek or hibiscus family that blooms in June and July, is said to be native to South Africa. Although I see them in parks here and there in the summer, the name had never entered my mind until recently. I’m okay now.

The photo above was taken with the smc FA43mm lens, with unrivaled floating three-dimensional effect.

I went to Roppongi Midtown to try out PENTAX’s custom image “Natsu Ten(Summer Sky)” and found agapanthus in full bloom in the green area.

The three photos, from top to bottom: HD DA15mm, smc FA77mm, smc FA43mm, show the characteristics of each of the three single focal length lenses I carried that day.

The flowers are so beautiful but it was too hot to concentrate on shooting, so the composition of the flowers was unintentionally very one-track minded.

Since I went all the way to Roppongi, I’d like to show you some of the other photos I took.

So, that was the roll of photographing summer flowers in Roppongi.
