Yushima Tenjin shrine -Plum blossoms fes.

The season of plum blossoms has come again this year.
I think plum blossoms have a profound beauty that is different from that of gorgeous cherry blossoms. I went to Yushima Tenjin to see what the plum blossoms festival was like.

As usual, I went to the Tenjin from the Kasugadori street side in the back of the shrine, instead of the crowded main slopes in the front.

The shrine was more crowded than I had expected, not only because it was exam season and there were many visitors, but also because of the crowds of people who came to see the plum garden. I was not discouraged, and quietly worked on taking pictures of plum blossoms.

I used Lumix G99 and Leica DG12-60mm F2.8-4. This is a reliable standard zoom lens from Pana-Leica that covers the standard to mid-telephoto range with its surrealistic image quality.

It can get as close as 20mm at the wide end and 24mm at the telephoto end, so it is especially useful at the Yushima Tenjin Plum Garden, where you can get as close as you want.

Of course, the image is really sure even when taken in retreating position. The coloring of the red plum blossoms is also solid.

The Lumix G99 also does its best. I was able to get a beautiful shot without making the transparent color white out.

The bokeh effect is not as “prodigal” as you would expect from an MFT lens at f4.

I tried to create a Japanese-style composition by using the curved branches.

I am not familiar with plum tree varieties, but the plum garden here is a good place to enjoy many varieties with different appearances at once.

The 4:3 aspect ratio of MFT is very comfortable for me to use in vertical compositions.

I am never tired of taking as many pictures as I can, but the readers of this blog may get tired of similar pictures.

Thank you very much for watching until the end.
