The initial fixed cost expenditure is a bit high for an A4 inkjet printer, but the large-capacity ink tank makes the variable cost per output volume low, so if you use it for a few years, you can save money compared to buying more ink frequently…. Also, for the hearts of bottom-of-the-barrel photography enthusiasts, the fact that Mr. Seiya Nakai gave a PR lecture on this printer at CP+ 2023 in cooperation with Epson’s promotion resonated well with me. He said that the M873T could produce prints worthy of appreciation with its black pigment ink, which is characterized by a tightening of dark areas, and if you choose the right paper for printing.

I had actually purchased this machine some months ago, but it had been sitting in a corner of my room waiting for my turn to use it. The EPSON EW-M873T is now installed with a certain presence in my small work space.
I put the ink refill bottles on the machine for no reason. I heard that “matte black” is pigment ink.
