As you are aware, an announcement was made at the beginning of March regarding the restructuring of Ricoh Imaging’s operations.
I interpreted this as a manifestation of their strategy to downsize and restructure their business, and to choose a more niche, narrow path. They are closing down their offices and sales channels, and they seem to be rethinking their promotional activities as well, as they did not exhibit at CP+2022. As a user, I see this as a positive sign that they are not restructuring half-heartedly, but are thoroughly implementing a strategy to survive.
However, I still feel sad that Ricoh Imaging Square in Shinjuku, which I am used to going to, will be closed.
The gallery will close at the end of March, and the repair service at the end of May.
At this very moment, I found an annoying dust in the viewfinder of my Pentax K-3III, so I decided to visit them and have it cleaned while Shinjuku is still open. I wonder if this will be my last visit.
I was planning that I would order my dry cleaning first thing in the morning, and then go back to the showroom and galleries to soak it all in and have an inner “farewell party” by myself.

The familiar three FA limited sisters are selling some of their “outlet items” as they close up store.
We assume that they were le out as trial units at this location.
When I looked at it as a used product, I thought the price might be slightly higher than the market price due to a few scratches and scuffs, but since it had been used at the manufacturer’s base, there is no other product whose identity is as certain as this one.
I bought it on impulse.
