LUMIX S 14-28mm coming!

Until recently, I was saying that full-frame lenses were too expensive for me to afford and that my next target was the m4/3 G9II, but you never know what will happen in this world.

But you never know what will happen in the world.

The lens on the S5 is not a mistake, it is the LUMIX S 14-28mm F4-5.6 MACRO. I wonder what happened.

No, I can’t blame others. I myself was the one who was caught off guard and caused the outflow of G9II funds. While rejoicing over the arrival of the new lens, I reflect on the situation.

I really wanted to get this super wide-angle zoom lens, but I couldn’t afford it because it had only been on the market for a short period of time and the price was too high. One day, however, I was unlucky (or lucky) enough to notice that this lens was eligible for the manufacturer’s cash-back campaign until the end of August.

Panasonic always controls the distribution price during these campaigns, and the retail price is always in line with the manufacturer’s price. They are so thorough that they even exclude the point system of major retailers from the campaign, which makes one want to swear at the JFTC.

However, set the chief to catch the chief, and there are some mail-order sites that have managed to get through the net of control and offer extra points, so I fell for the scheme.

I have imposed on myself the same strict ideological (and economic) restrictions as Mr. Kurapika, that is, the composition of lenses for full-size cameras should be from wide-angle to medium telephoto, but now I have a minimum lineup of LUMIX S 14-28mm, LUMIX S 20-60mm, and SIGMA DG DN 90mm lenses. I am now ready to use the Lumix S 14-28mm, Lumix S 20-60mm and Sigma DG DN 90mm.

The L-mount lenses in the popular class are quite good, thanks to the efforts of both Sigma and Panasonic. Sigma with its unique single focal length i-series lenses and Panasonic with its practicality-oriented lenses that also cover video shooting.

The 14-28mm is the lens with quite ordinary f-number, but it is lightweight, small, sharp, close-up half macro and has many good reviews. I can’t wait to take it out shooting with my other two lenses.

For today, I just have a “I bought it” report,
I have a plan to go out shooting when the weather gets a little cooler, and my dreams are expanding.
