CP+ 2025 : Part2

This is a continuation of the previous article. After taking a look at the LUMIX and SIGMA from the user’s perspective, I went around the CP+ 2025 venue with the GF10 and Leica DG15mm in my hands.

This is the biggest topic for me this year. I was lucky enough to be at the Digicam Watch booth when Mr. Tomoki Iida was holding a signing event, and I was able to be there just as the line of people waiting for numbered tickets was about to finish.

Of course, I bought “Camera Baka ni Tsukeru Kusuri 3”, which was on sale at the event, and got it signed. I was given a great service where I had a picture of my favorite character “Pentaxian Brother” added (I was torn between He and Lumiko Matsushita for a moment).

Thank you, Iida sensei!

I was able to get a big prize unexpectedly, so the rest was just a bonus (hey).

A picture of the audience at the DxO booth intently watching the PhotoLab8 demo.

I should probably listen carefully and study, I thought, but the laziness bug was itching to escape, so I quietly slipped away.

Speaking of which, this year, the champion Canon and the reigning champion Sony were competing to show off their superior dynamic AF technology.
At the huge Canon booth, they were demonstrating basketball with a line of preview machines lined up

On the other hand, I missed the scene where they were demonstrating the intense movements of taekwondo at the huge Sony booth… The photo below shows the taekwondo demonstration and the portrait photo booth, which was set up next to each other through a curtain.

There were a whole range of trial cameras with telephoto lenses on display, so you could try taking pictures of sports and portraits as you like.

I, the PENTAX/LUMIX faction of the economy class, have reached a state of enlightenment where we no longer fight with the people around us. Others are others, and we are us.

Speaking of which, there was also a huge Plarail booth this year, and it was a delight to the eyes of the many visitors, whether they were fans of railway photography or not.

With the amount of light indoors, it’s difficult to take a clear photo of the Plarail even at its normal speed with the GF10 (lol).
Let’s just say that this blurring of the subject is an expression of speed.

So, as usual, this is a rather pointless article, consisting of just a quick snap taken while whizzing around in a short space of time, but this is my report on CP+ 2025.
