Aizu/Urabandai Photo Inventory Clearance

Among the photos that I have failed to include in the past several articles on my photo walk in Urabandai, Aizu, I would like to list some photos that I felt were a little too good to be discarded (on my own satisfaction scale), just for the sake of liveliness and to clear out my inventory.

A flower with an unknown name blooming by the lakeside of Yaroku-numa.

Since I don’t know much about it, I don’t know if it is going to bloom more, or if it has already bloomed and is almost finished. I don’t even know if it is about to bloom more or if it has already bloomed and is almost finished (laughs).

This is by a small, unnamed swamp somewhere. The white flowers (as usual, I don’t know the name) are beautiful.

The same flowers were blooming in Yanaginuma. At this time, I failed to capture the white flowers beautifully, but the forest and the sky reflected on the surface of the swamp were so beautiful that it was a shame to reject the photo.

Also in Yanaginuma. Nothing special about this scenery…

I’m not going to be able to sleep at night thinking about how this dead tree ended up here in this manner and what will happen to it in the future, so I’m posting this as a memorial service.

For a change of pace, we went to Mehico, a family restaurant in Koriyama. Since I have already stopped by several times, I was not surprised to see flamingos in captivity (I know there are a certain number of people who don’t know what that means, but please look it up yourself, that’s what Mehiko is all about), but this was the first time I encountered a fuzzy baby flamingo.

As young birds, they don’t seem to be very good at standing with their legs outstretched yet. Sometimes they would stand up and walk and groom themselves like adult birds, but soon they seemed to sit down (or something like that) like this.

The last one was a cart-shaped flower bed prepared by the Urabandaiko Hotel.

It’s tacky to photograph a man-made flowerbed in front of a spectacular view of nature, but beautiful things are beautiful.

So, this is the end of this year’s Aizu/Urabandai summer trip, as I have cleared out my inventory.
I realized once again that the small and lightweight Micro Four Thirds camera is really capable when taking it out on a trip.
