Antenna store 291, etc.

You may have wondered what the title of this article is about.

As I sometimes write about as I recall, I have to visit the Aoyama area several times a year, and the other day I heard that an antenna store selling Fukui Prefecture’s products near Kotto-Dori had been renovated, so I dropped by.

This summer has been severe, so severely hot all over Japan, and no matter where you are, whether in Aoyama, Tokyo or anywhere else, you can’t escape it. On this day, too, it was blazing hot on Kotto-Dori.

I have just finished my errands for the day. I barely have my FUJIFILM XF10 in my hand, but to be honest, I don’t have time or mind to take pictures. If I don’t get somewhere out of the sun soon, my life will be in danger.

I staggered to the “FUKUI Antenna Shop 291,” which was the place I wanted to visit.

Here’s the official website.

It used to be a regular store selling crafts, food and beverages from the prefecture, but it seems to have been renovated and the first floor is now a café and the second floor is a rental space.

The café is very bold and spacious for the high cost of land in Aoyama, and has a nice simple and modern feel to it.

The best part is that it is air-conditioned to perfection (lol).
They also serve light meals using local ingredients, so I had the “onigiri set” that day.

Miso soup with a strong kombu broth, quite tasty.

If I had finished here, I would have had enough for a short blog entry.

But as I was cooling off in the restaurant, I thought, “I can walk a little more, can’t I?”. And I know a few minutes’ walk away, there is an another antenna store of Niigata Prefecture.
How about we start a series of articles like “A Tour of Prefectural Antenna Shops”?

What a superfluous idea!
Putting aside the merits of the idea itself, why did I come up with it on such a dangerously hot day?

I’ll skip the middle part now, though… I went to Omotesando, Niigata-kan NESPACE.

By the time I got there, it was after I had already drained the water that is water from my body.

You may have noticed something strange about the photo, right?
I was already halfway in a daze, so I didn’t notice that the ISO had gone up to 12800 due to a mishandling of the XF10.

I’ll post the pictures I took. The poor image quality is more than 100% my fault, and the NESPACE is not at all to blame, and of course I have nothing to add.

This store is an ordinary local products antenna store with both sales and food and beverage facilities. The store is located in a prime location and is quite spacious, with a variety of products on display.

I was in a daze, but I did not forget to buy what I wanted.

I must admit that I have been a fan of Niigata’s Sasa-dango dumplings for many years. I’ll never forget the joy of knowing that I could always buy them here.

I really apologize again and again for the mistake in the exposure setting. I will be careful henceforth, or rather, I have learned the lesson the hard way that this is what happens when you push yourself too hard on a day like this in this kind of weather.

But seriously, visiting stores selling prefectural products may not be a bad pleasure.
In any case, after this heat wave goes away.
