Sunlight and shadow

I have the desire to take photos, but due to the extreme heat of July, I haven’t been able to take many good shots.

At least, I’ve been carrying my LUMIX GF10 in my bag lately, hoping to capture something while I’m out and about for work or family errands. One day, I came across a subject that caught my eye (though it may be an exaggeration to call it that) in the dry urban landscape, so I’ll share a few shots.

These are just filler articles and photos, but as an external beginner, I’m quite pleased with these snapshots.

Here’s the first one.

I just lined up three photos without any explanation. I know it might not come across well since I’m not very skilled, but this was an attempt to capture the shadows cast by the intense sunlight after the rainy season in the corners of the city.

I took these photos with a LUMIX GF10 and finished them in “grainy high-contrast monochrome” using FilmPack7’s Ilford HPS 800.

Stairs illuminated by a faint light.

Conversely, the poles on the pavement cast shadows as if resisting the intense light.

Looking up at the roaring sound, I saw the shadow of a passenger plane upside down in the sky.

That said, while it’s mostly self-indulgent, there are still plenty of photo subjects to work with even during routine commutes if you put your mind to it. Let’s try to get through this hot summer without getting too down.
