Koishikawa korakuen Garden -Bonus Track-

I visited Koishikawa Korakuen Garden with my LUMIX G9proII camera to take pictures of irises, but I also took some photos of the fresh greenery unique to this season before the rainy season began, so I’ll post them as a bonus article.

When it comes to early summer flowers, water lilies are a must. It was mid-afternoon, so there weren’t many flowers in full bloom, but I managed to get a shot with the help of a telephoto lens.

I love the shadows created by trees, regardless of the season.

There are many photogenic subjects scattered throughout the grounds of Korakuen.

I’ve been shooting with the Leica DG 50-200mm so far, and it delivers sharp images at any focal length—it’s really reliable.

There are also plenty of sights to see outside the garden this time of year.Just outside the east gate, the hydrangeas were blooming beautifully along the small path.

At this point, I switched to the LUMIX G 25mm F1.7 lens. It’s often referred to as a ”bait lens” for the LUMIX MFT mount, but I think it has more than enough descriptive power to be anything but bait.

Another great feature of this lens is its close-up capability (minimum shooting distance of 25cm). The flowers of the hydrangea look as vibrant and delicious as candy in the photo.

So, I went to Koishikawa Korakuen Garden to see the irises, but I also enjoyed taking photos of other things as well.
