Since I had gone to Hongo, I thought I would drop in at Rikugien Garden in Komagome on the way.
The ginkgo trees at the University of Tokyo were just about to reach their peak, so I thought the maple leaves at Rikugien would probably be too early for autumn colors, but it was the first day of the Rikugien autumn leaf illumination, so there were quite a few people there from the early afternoon.
However, it was still too early for the autumn leaves to change color.
The blue sky in autumn is beautiful, but let’s look for autumn other than the changing colors of the maple leaves.

The springtime blooming of flowers is wonderful, of course, but I also like the atmosphere of cherry blossoms in late autumn, just before they wither and fall.
I don’t think there are any ginkgo trees around here, so where did it come from?
For some reason, there is a small patch of withered bamboo grass. For some reason, the sun is shining on that spot.
Perhaps it withered because the sun shone on that spot?
There’s no end to it, so let’s stop here.
At the end, whether it looks like autumn or not, my favorite “moss-covered roof”
So, although I didn’t get to see the autumn leaves at Rikugien, which I happened to visit on the way, I still had a good time.
