Photo Walk Bandai 2024 Autmn -2

Since I went to Aizu, spending several hours each way, I will continue from the previous article and write about the results of the photo walk Bandai 2024 Autumn.

I went there hoping to take some photos of the autumn leaves in the village at the foot of Mt. Bandai, but unfortunately the trees had not yet started to change color. What’s more, it was cloudy, so there was not much light. But I thought to myself, “Well, at least it’s not cold and I’m not getting wet, so I’ll just have to be thankful for that.”

I walked around town, switching between my LUMIX S5 and the SIGMA i-series 17mm F4, 50mm F2, and 90mm F2.8 fixed-focus lenses, as well as the SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN II lens I borrowed for the day.

If you look around with the right frame of mind, even the most ordinary street corners have a lot of character.

The road behind the ruins of the main hall at Enichiji Temple. The roof of the small hall in the distance can be seen over the persimmon trees.

Komainu (guardian dogs) seen through the Shimenawa (rope used to cordon off sacred areas)

The Komainu  is unusual in that they have their paws on such a large ball?

As befits a town famous for its pure water, clear streams can be seen everywhere in the town. I think I may have blurred it a little too much

It’s just a bunch of common silver grass, but I can’t get enough of the atmosphere of “autumn in the countryside” like this!

There’s no end to the things I could post like this.

Let’s finish with some photos. The Roadside Station Bandai, run by the Bandai Promotion Public Corporation, which organized the photo walk…

According to the very enthusiastic introduction by the MC, Mr. S, this is the only Roadside Station in the whole country where you can buy Sigma products (lol).

I’ve heard that no one who took part in the photo walk has bought one yet (lol).

This is the end of the “I took it at the photo walk” series. It was fun!
Thank you for watching to the end.
