Trying ”Harubeni(Spring Red)” late in the season.

For most Pentax enthusiasts, this is a topic that has already passed by, and there is nothing new about it, but it is worthwhile to participate in this kind of event, so I gave it a try. “Harubeni”, a new custom image for this season

When the cherry blossoms were still in 30% bloom in Tokyo, I took a few quick shots with my Pentax K-3III and HD DA20-40mm limited during a break from work.

The photos below are compared by JPG images of “Harubeni” on the left and “Vivid” on the right. The compositions are not in perfect alignment on the left and right sides, which is my messy work as usual. Please forgive me.

Harubeni/春紅 Bright/鮮やか

The differences in coloring are so subtle that they could be overlooked if you are not paying close attention, but that subtlety and delicacy is important for expressing a sense of the season, perhaps. “Harubeni” is a perfect description of “HON-NORI AKAI(slightly red)” and is appropriate for the spring season, when both nature and people’s hearts are moved and revitalized a little at a time.

When offered this kind of option, photographing cherry blossoms in spring is something that anyone would come up with, and it is so commonplace (but I can’t help it, I do it). It is the photographer’s sense and skill HOW TO take pictures of cherry blossoms and HOW TO make the best use of “Harubeni” in them. Unfortunately, I can’t come up with anything, so I just try to take pictures without any creative ideas and say something silly like, “It’s slightly red”.

And while I can’t expect much from myself, I am looking forward to seeing what you skilled enthusiasts will do to attract me with your “Harubeni” works that are not cherry blossom shots.
