What is this?

Here’s a little something I saw on the street.
I was out and about and saw something that made me think, “Hmm?”
Then I saw a GF10 in my bag, so took a picture of it.

What is this?
Set in a corner of a green space in the city with a “No Trespassing” sign, the A strange machine about 2.5 meters tall. It has a small solar panel attached to it, so perhaps it operates based on the amount of electricity it generates.

When I turned to the side, I found that it seemed to be “observing the weather. ”
What on earth is it doing?
It is now January and will be here until August, so it looks like they will be observing and collecting data here for a very long time.

Upon closer inspection, I found this notation in the corner of the machine
It looks like a machine that monitors wind direction and speed. I wonder what the purpose of the survey is at this location.

Is this tip a sensor?
I would imagine that the machine itself is probably not dangerous, nor is it very expensive, since it appears to be unmanned and in place for a long period of time…

But still, I wonder if there is any danger of someone being careless and messing with it. Even if it is not, an animal or a child might touch it without any malice. I don’t think it’s any use my worrying about it.

I feel nothing but discomfort at the moment, but I wonder if after a few weeks I will get used to it and it won’t even catch my eye.
It’s not something that needs to be covered in this beginner’s photo blog, but I was a little surprised, so I thought I’d share it with you.
