LEICA DG 8-18mm coming

Since I started using the Lumix G99, I have come to use Pana-Leica lenses with all my might. Leica brand lenses are available at a price range that the average person can afford. Moreover, the precision and color reproduction of the photographs obtained by combining it with the G99 are so wonderful that I think the Leica brand live up to it’s name.

I’m speaking only with my own skills on the shelf .

Here is a new Pana-Leica that I acquired at the end of last year. I am very happy with the LEICA DG8-18mm lens, which covers the ultra wide-angle range.

Of course I have an inner question: “Can Micro Four Thirds lens actually have strong point in the wide field?”

However, in fact, there are times when I wish I had an ultra-wide-angle lens when I am out shooting, so I decided to stock up on them. Although it was eligible for Panasonic’s cash-back sale, I bought a used one to save a little money.

I have been in and out of m4/3 mount lenses quite a bit due to cash flow, but now I have seven lenses on hand.

LEICA DG VARIO-ELMARIT 8-18mm F2.8-4
LEICA DG VARIO-ELMARIT 12-60mm F2.8-4
LEICA DG VARIO-ELMARIT 50-200mm F2.8-4
Lumix G 25mm F1.7
LEICA DG MACRO-ELMARIT 45mm F2.8
LUMIX G VARIO 12-32mm F3.5-5.6
LUMIX G VARIO 35-100mm F4.0-5.6

If you notice, the lineup is quite large. I use 5 of the Panalaika lenses with the G99 and the other 2 small lenses for the small GF10.I guess this is the end of my lens collection, and it will be my turn to concentrate on photography for a while.

The feature of this lens is that it is a super wide-angle lens with a gold bull’s-eye.

I should have waited until I could get a protective filter since the lens is filterable, but I couldn’t be patient, so I took it out while shopping and took a few test shots.

I took it out while shopping and took a quick test shot (15mm) of the LEGO man sleeping on the bench.

I’m gobsmacked by the delicious Tex-Mex plate what I don’t know it is (18mm).

The last one is a guffaw looking up at the huge space of the shopping mall (8mm).

Wide angle lenses are really difficult. I’m so bad at photography that I want to cry, but I bought a new lens, so I’m still more joyful than sad in early 2023.
