Tokyo tower in the autumn sky, etc.

On a warm, sunny day in early November, I walked around Tokyo Tower with Lumix G99 in hand.

Shiba Park was crowded with people, attracted by the sunny weather.
The peak of the fall foliage should be about three weeks away, but the trees are already starting to change color a bit.

Although it is not well known, Shiba Park has both a “Tokyo Metropolitan park” area and a “Minato Ward park” area, and this large lawn is the ward-owned area. In the back of the park, there is a magnificent flower bed that is in full bloom throughout the four seasons, and every time I visit, I am impressed by Minato Ward good job and take pictures.
The star of the show this day was the cosmos.

The large tiled roof seen in the first photo to the right of the Tokyo Tower is Zojoji Temple, the head temple of the Jodo sect of Buddhism. On this day, Zojoji’s San-mon gate (more precisely, San-Gedatsu-mon gate) was open to the public.

It is a very rare sight to see the doors on the upper floors of the San-mon open.

I thought I would like to visit the gate, but I had to wait in line to get a numbered ticket for a paid tour, so I gave up and just took pictures from outside.
The exhibition will be open to the public until late November, so let’s hope we can revisit it when it’s not crowded…

I walked a bit in Shiba Park, the outer perimeter of which largely surrounds Tokyo Tower and Zojoji Temple, probably the “metropolitan park” area . The garden was neither dead nor foliage, but the color of the garden through the bamboo fence was somewhat autumnal.
It seems that quite a few people like the view of this road leading to the foot of the tower. Of course, I like it too.

High in the autumn sky, the clouds are rippling like a big washboard. I wonder if they are on their way to becoming more like “sardines-ish” or “scales-ish” Japanese autumn clouds.

This was a pleasant autumn walk in the Shiba Park area. Thank you for reading.
