YEARBOOKS arrived!

Despite the difficult logistics situation worldwide, they arrived safely at our home all the way from Europe in early August.

PENTAXIANS YEARBOOK 2017-2021

I had been holding out for the free digital edition, but in order to show my support and respect for fun publication activities in the form of economic contribution, no, honestly I was lured by the offer of a limited stock of back issues, and bought them all at once.

Although I cannot introduce the photos in the albums, you can enjoy viewing the works of professional and amateur photographers from around the world by obtaining the digital (PDF) versions of each year, which are available free of charge at the following coterie’s website.

Thanks Béla & Stephen.

The only requirement for inclusion in the book is that the works must have been taken with a Pentax camera. Medium format, 35mm full size, APSC, and other manufacturers’ lenses are all acceptable. However, since the prints are based on digital data uploaded to SNS, it seems that film camera works are not included. As a result, the majority of the entries were taken with K-mount DSLR cameras.

What is interesting is that the cameras and lenses used are not limited to flagship-class high-end equipment, but there are many excellent works taken with popular equipment such as the K50 x DA18-135 and the K-S2 x DA50.

A few years ago, when I was shooting with a K70 and DA35, I would have commented that it gave me courage, but now that I have a K-3III and the three FA limited sisters, I can’t take good pictures. I would stare at my hands….

I guess I will have to look at photo books, study them again, and get more practice.
Let’s do our best.
