Lately, whenever I head out for a quick errand, I’ve been slipping my LUMIX GF10 into my bag. With the days getting shorter, I often keep a bright prime lens attached to avoid missing shots in dim light, whether indoors or out.
This is one of those little snapshots I picked up along the way. Early November, after a late lunch, I was walking and noticed the fallen leaves on the street trees were unusually striking, so I snapped this.
Oh no. I thought I was shooting with a symmetrical composition, but it’s quite off. I guess I got a little careless after that filling lunch.
I’ve turned into this weird old guy who just looks down and walks around taking pictures of the ground.
Even so, it’s truly the Panasonic Leica 25mm lens that captures even ordinary fallen leaves with such expressive richness.
Just when I thought autumn had finally arrived, the town already has a late-autumn feel to it. If I’m not careful, winter will be upon us before I know it.
The fact that I can have so much fun photographing fallen leaves at an ordinary street corner… I made a quiet resolution to myself: I must go back there and take pictures before I forget.
