This October, I was so busy that I had given up on the idea of taking photos of autumn roses, but then I happened to find out that there was a fairly impressive rose garden in a park that I could visit on the way to work if I pushed myself a little.
This was a godsend. I went out on a fine day and took some photos. I brought along a Lumix G9 Pro II, a Leica DG 12-60mm, and a Leica DG MACRO 45mm
A yellow rose in the sunlight filtering through the trees.
The roses were small and pretty, just like roses in autumn.
However, I think the unseasonable weather this year has had an effect here too. It was almost the end of October, but it was hard to say that the roses were in full bloom, and the rose garden looked more desolate than I had expected.
The photo doesn’t show the temperature, but it was actually as hot as summer that day. I can only imagine how hard it must be for the people who look after the garden.
I had brought a macro lens with me, so I didn’t give up and took close-up photos of the flowers while dripping with sweat.
I wanted to take a photo that looked like a garden full of blooming flowers, but that wasn’t possible on this day. If I were to add just one more photo to the blog…
I guess a deep red rose is a must.
So, it may not have been a complete success, but I’ve taken some photos of autumn roses anyway.
